Passed away peacefully at The Dilke Memorial Hospital on 30th January, aged 83 years. Much-loved Wife of Richard, devoted Mother of Rachel and Grandmother of Nye.

I am not sure I ever told Mrs Owen how much respect and admiration I held for her as my Cambray housemistress from 1986-88, but my mother thankfully said she told her. A wonderful woman, who was kind and patient and who had a lovely gentle sense of humour.
